about
I believe there are 4 types of people.
1) Those who refuse to put bumper stickers on their car.
2) Those who put one bumper sticker on their car, to make a point.
3) Those who put so many bumper stickers on their car you can’t tell what the point is.
4) Those fine few who put so many bumper stickers on their car that it IS the point.
It’s the same with tattoos, and this website is about types 2 through 4.
What I look for
I like to capture the “big picture”. I’m not into the typical tattoo parlor Polaroid showing a freshly shaved calf, swollen red skin, and frat letters.
I want to see how your tattoo looks on you while you’re being YOU. That’s why you got your tattoo in the first place, because it’s YOU. (Or it isn’t, but, oh well, you have it.)
I post photos that just happen to show your tattoo, rather than photos OF your tattoo.
How to send me your tattoo photos
Every now and then, I come across a photo taken by someone else that I’d like to share on TattooProject.com. So feel free to send me your tattoo photos… your tattoo, your girlfriend’s, your boyfriend’s, even your ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend’s (in her case, we’ll call it a tramp stamp). Just make sure that the photo fits with Tattoo Project’s theme of capturing the “big picture”… no tattoo parlor snapshots.
You can send me a link to your photos. Or, if they’re not posted somewhere, you can email them to me as an attachment. JPEG’s are preferred, the higher the resolution the better. If you have print photos that you’re unable to scan, just let me know and I’ll gladly accept them by mail.
Please include the following information about each photo…
- The name of the person that the tattoo is attached to (first name is fine).
- The artist, to give credit where credit is due (a link to their studio would be great).
- A quick story about the tattoo, if appropriate.
If you have any questions or comments
